FAQ's

What times are your return services?

We depart Great Keppel Island every day at 2pm and 4pm.

Friday also has a 6:20pm departure most weeks, unless we have a scheduled 9:30pm late return.

Friday late departures may be cancelled, so make sure you are booking in advance!

Can I amend my ticket once I've booked?

You sure can, pop us an email or give us a call to amend your booking. There is no extra cost, it just depends on availability.

Can I return on a different day to my outbound service?

Your return is valid on any departure, any day. We just ask that if you'd like to return on a different service to the one originally nominated, that you amend with us to ensure availability as our ferries have limited seating.

Can I take my dog to Great Keppel Island?

You sure can! As it is not a National Park, dogs are welcome on GKI. They travel for a small fee of $5.00/small dog & $10.00/large dog. â€‹

Can I go to Keppel for just a day?

Absolutely, Great Keppel is not privately owned and welcomes day trippers.

What luggage restrictions are there on the ferry?

You may take 1 x 23KG luggage item per passenger as well as a carry-on luggage item. Eskies are limited to 40L due to the manual loading and unloading.

What is considered an oversized esky?

We do not accept eskies over 23kg or 40L. Please note, if you are staying for a while on the island, your esky is easier to go over empty and with drinks still in their original cartons and ice purchased on the island at the Hideaway.

Where do you depart from?

We can be a little tricky due to restrictions around signage so please ensure you leave enough time to check in.

Self-Drive:

Turn off the scenic highway towards Rosslyn Bay Harbour. You’ll come to a mini roundabout, take the first exit to Keppel Bay Marina. As you come down past the car park with boat trailers, there’s a little ‘A’ frame board with Keppel Konnections on, turn right and drive towards the dirt loading area. You can pull right in and unload next to a shaded area at the top of the red jetty but please park at either the security car park or out in the marina main car park. Please check in at our little green ticket shed at the top of the ramp.

Public Transport:

Route 20 bus service with Youngs Buses stops directly outside the main marina terminal. Please note, this is not your check in area. Walk straight through the marina building and turn right at the path on the waters edge. Follow that path to the little yellow shade area and check in at the green ticket shed.

Where can I park my car and does it cost anything?

There is free parking at the marina. This is not a secure or patrolled car park and parking is at your own risk. We recommend the Cap Coast Storage. 0488 004 785
